Things may feel rough this holiday season—everyone around you seems to be celebrating while you are trying to survive. It’s increasingly hard to see that God loves you and cares when sadness and despair seem to surround you. Davidsonville UMC and Kalas are here to welcome you with a group of caring people and a short 2-hour event that gives practical holiday survival tips: Join us on Sunday, November 17 at 2 PM at Kalas Funeral Home (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). Register at griefshare.org/holidays using zip code 21037.

Whether you are staying home for safety reasons, or if you just love Online Worship… don’t worry! We will be continuing to put together our Online Worship videos moving forward. Video’s will go live on Facebook at the early service on Sunday mornings, and be posted to YouTube for later viewing! Plus, the benefit of Online Worship, is that you can watch the video’s again anytime after Sunday.

Have a prayer request or a joy you’d like to share with us? At the top of the page, click “Get Connected” and select “Prayer”. There, you will have the opportunity to share what’s in your heart with us. We can lift up these praises or prayer in worship, or pray privately for them with you. Just fill out the form and give us the chance to share in your joys or send up prayers for you.

CrossRoads is a leading developmental child care program based in Davidsonville, MD, at the "crossroads" of Davidsonville Rd. and Central Ave. They are a faith-based center in the community where all are welcome. Since 2007, they have been offering exciting and engaging hands on learning experiences for preschool and school aged children. They believe each child is a person of value who should have every opportunity to develop physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in a safe and loving environment. Teachers work with each child at his/her/their own level to encourage a healthy appreciation of self and guide development of group socialization skills. Learning is accomplished through a combination of teacher-directed and child-initiated activities. The whole child is nurtured through the use of individually appropriate activities, materials and equipment. Their teachers place special emphasis on getting to know each child in order to best respond to individual needs. Their enrolled children thrive through engagement in appropriately challenging activities that allow them to build positive self-worth and practice kindness toward others. They pride ourselves on maintaining a highly supportive and positive environment not only for the center children, but also among our fantastic team of teachers and staff. Contact them to see what they are all about!
